Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT Tapping provides relief from chronic pain, emotional problems, disorders, addictions, phobias, post traumatic stress disorder, and physical diseases.
While Tapping is revolutionising the field of health and wellness, the healing concepts that it’s based upon have been in practice in Eastern Medicine for over 5,000 years. Like Acupuncture and Acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques which utilise the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips – literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power. Your body is more powerful than you can imagine and has a compelling ability for self-healing. With Tapping, you can take control of that power and your life.
At Soul Chrysalis we incorporate tapping in our sessions when required. We will guide you and do the physical tapping with you and provide you with sample statements that you can then refer to on your own.
How does EFT work?
Select a problem that causes you distress. Summon up the emotion (such as sadness), focus on where it manifests in your body, and rate your distress on a scale from 1 to 10. Then repeat, “Even though I have this sadness, I deeply love and accept myself” — Tap on the first point and then move on to the other points while expressing your sadness. Be open to any blocked emotions releasing themselves in the form of tears. Feel the relief and continue expressing your feelings.Tap on the points as long as you desire or until you feel relief.
Then take a deep breath. Check back on the rating you started with and see if there has been a shift. Also pay attention to any other thoughts, impressions or memories that came up. Open up to deeper questions as and when they appear. Repeat until you feel better.
